MRS. RATCLIFF DIES AT JASPER
Rites for Native of Warren Will Be Held in Methodist Church

JASPER, June 18 (Spl)--Funeral services for
Mrs. Carrie Parker Ratcliff
, 83, of Jasper will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Clyde Woodard, the pastor will officiate assisted by the Rev. T.J. Moore, a former pastor. Burial will be in City Cemetery under the direction of Stringer Funeral Home of Jasper.

Pallbearers will be Allen Hancock, Fred Blake, Olaf Jacobsen, Robert Hancock, W.A. Ryall, J.A. Fox, Robert Martin and W.L. Neal. The body will lie in state at the Church from 2 until 3 pm. Sunday.

Mrs. Ratcliff died at 10:30 p.m. Friday in a local hospital following an injury suffered when she fell at her home late Tuesday.

She was the wife of the late Dr. J.R. Ratcliff who was one of the early dentists of this area.

A native of Warren she had lived in Jasper for more than 60 years. She had been a member of the Methodist Church here for many years.

Mrs. Ratcliff was active in all church and civic affairs until a few months ago. She was a charter member of the Women's Civic Club of Jasper.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Blanch Jeffrey of Houston and Mrs. Helen McKain of Huntsville; one son, J.M. Ratcliff of Midland; two brothers, Charles Parker of Jasper and Eugene Parker of Silsbee; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
